Andres Salas
Account Director
FILO Productions, LLC
Austin, TX
Andres Salas began his professional production journey in New York City at the renowned Electric Lady Studios, serving as a staff audio engineer. During this period, he collaborated with numerous exceptional artists, producers, and engineers. Following the events of 9/11, Andres and his wife relocated to New Mexico, seeking a fresh perspective. There, he established a production company and an in-house recording studio, contributing to the creation of music for local TV commercials and the recording/production of local musicians. Andres chose an entirely different career path in 2005, joining PSAV as a lead tech. He floated between various hotels in Austin, providing his expertise wherever needed. Following a stint at the Hilton Austin, he transitioned into a sales role within the in-house department, quickly ascending the ranks to assume the position of Director of Sales. His career trajectory took an expansive turn as he assumed a statewide role targeting the state association market for PSAV. Building relationships with key groups, Andres joined TSAE in 2009. However, by 2014, he found the large corporate environment incongruent with his approach to event production. Seeking more freedom to offer competitive solutions to his clients, Andres transitioned to an Account Director role with FILO Productions. During his time with FILO (First In Last Out, and pronounced like the dough), he has grown FILO’s footprint in the association market and has developed long-lasting relationships with many great clients.
