Updates to the CAE Exam
This winter, ASAE announced that the upcoming CAE Exam being administered June 8-21 (originally scheduled for May 1) will be the last version based on the current exam content outline. The current outline and study guide were released in 2015. A new outline will be first used with the December 2020 exam.
Additionally, the CAE Program will be moving to a computer-based administration with the upcoming CAE exam. ASAE will be using sites through their testing vendors and will communicate directly with candidates regarding examination procedures. ASAE is only changing the format for how candidates will take the exam (on the computer at a proctored site rather than a pencil-and-paper exam) – candidates will not receive results immediately at the site. Results will still be released 6-8 weeks after the testing date.

TSAE offers a Study Course, sponsored by Visit Austin, twice a year to help professionals prepare for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) exam. An experienced CAE leads the discussion as the group explores the nine (9) domains of association management and works through sample exam questions. Participants can also receive audio recordings of the sessions. It is a great way to ask questions, find study partners and earn 22 CAE hours.
