TSAE Stands with Members, Supports D&I
A message from the TSAE Board of Directors:
TSAE is built upon a community of professionals representing various industries, professions, and areas of interest. We pride ourselves on our strong support community that makes us all Better Together.
We are witnessing the civil rights movement of our time addressing a fundamental inequality in our society. TSAE stands in solidarity with our members as they lift their voices against the oppression and disenfranchisement of the black community, highlighted by the death of George Floyd. His death and the protests it sparked impacts us all.
Last summer, the TSAE Board created a strategic initiative to “Research, develop & model policies and practices that reflect TSAE’s commitment to diversity and inclusion” and recently took a step forward by approving the following D&I Position statement:
TSAE aims to be a resource and model for members and organizations on effective practices that drive successful Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives. TSAE believes in fostering a culture amongst our members that is diverse, inclusive, and equitable to all. Through diverse perspectives, an inclusive culture, and equal opportunities, we are Better Together!
While we still have work ahead of us in our organization and industry, this statement provides us direction to support each of you and your associations. We don’t have all of the answers, but we will continue to support you as we navigate the road ahead.
We hear you. We see you. We stand with you. We are Better Together.
