Jodi Ann completes her six-year term on the TSAE Board of Directors. She initially completed her three-year term on the Board of Directors in 2021 before starting her three-year officer journey in 2021-2022 serving as Chair-Elect, then serving in 2022-2023 as Board Chair, and completing her officer term in 2023-2024 as Immediate Past Chair. During her tenure on the Board, Jodi Ann led the TSAE Bylaws Review initiative cleaning up language in our current Bylaws to allow for a clearer understanding of various items. She served on the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Task Force, which spurred the creation of TSAE’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee, and assisted in creating the Diversity & Inclusion Association Assessment Tool – which TSAE now reviews on an annual basis with our volunteer leadership. She also served on the TSAE Values group, which helped identify and adopt TSAE’s Core Values that still guide us today. During her year as Board Chair, Jodi Ann had an instrumental role in evaluating all TSAE initiatives to ensure the organization’s financial stability during recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. She also led the charge with the TSAE Board of Directors working as a group to create and adopt a formalized strategic plan – something TSAE volunteer leadership had not done in over a decade.

Dottie’s passion for our industry shined through during her entire three-year term on the TSAE Board of Directors. This is Dottie’s second time to serve on the TSAE Board, having served 2003-2006. During her most recent term, she served on the Diversify & Expand Revenue Strategic Initiative Group evaluating ways TSAE can maintain steady revenues after the pandemic, which brought forth our Mega-Social Annual Event in October. Following that, she worked with the Board Initiative Group Understanding Member Needs to Create Value & Drive Growth, working on reimagining Leadership TSAE into the new Accelerate Program. She was also instrumental in representing our affiliate (vendor) member voice during the creation of TSAE’s Strategic Plan to ensure any initiatives or projects had feedback from that portion of our stakeholders. She also served as chair of the Affiliate Advisory Group, leading members of our affiliate member category to provide insight and feedback into TSAE initiatives.

During her time on the TSAE Board of Directors, Tracy led the Understanding Member Needs Strategic Initiative Group, which also placed her on the Executive Committee in 2022-2023. She played a pivotal role in launching the Better Together Mentoring Program and reimagining the Leadership TSAE program, which has now evolved into Accelerate TSAE – providing a space for mid-level managers to continue the career journey in the association management industry. She also assisted in helping our team operationalize some of our strategic initiatives to ensure the strategic vision was woven into all facets of TSAE’s offerings.

During her time on the TSAE Board of Directors, Toni served in one of the affiliate (vendor) member positions on the board. She served on the Diversify & Expand Revenue Strategic Initiative Group assisting TSAE staff to create new avenues for income following the pandemic. She also served on the Understanding Member Needs Strategic Initiative that assisted in launching the TSAE Better Together Mentor Program and Accelerate TSAE. She served on the TSAE Affiliate Focus Group to provide feedback on new initiatives and evaluate the overall value of current TSAE offerings. She also served on the Advancing DEI Strategic Initiative Group, which worked on evaluating TSAE processes through a DEI lens. Toni provided insight to the TSAE Board of Directors as a voice from our affiliate (vendor) membership group.
Michele Packard Milam, CAE

Michelle was a crucial strategic voice during her time on the TSAE Board of Directors. Michele served on the Strategic Initiative Group tasked with defining and determining a way to measure member engagement within TSAE. Thanks to that group’s efforts, we now have an official definition of what engagement means within TSAE, and TSAE has created our own member engagement scoring system to help us identify various engagement levels for each individual member. Michele also worked with the Leveraging Data Strategic Initiative Group to help TSAE identify data points that would impact the strategic direction of TSAE. She assisted in identifying and building measurements TSAE can use to assist in making future decisions for the organization.

During Kent’s service on the TSAE Board of Directors, he worked with the Leveraging Data Strategic Initiative Group to identify key data points for making data-driven decisions as TSAE continued to define its strategic direction. He also served as our resident board expert on artificial intelligence, even leading a session at our Artificial Intelligence Seminar in January 2024.
