Board Sets 2018-2019 Strategic Initiatives, Appoints Executive Committee

On June 19-20, 2018 the TSAE Board of Directors met to induct and orient new Board members, acknowledge outgoing members for their service and begin its governance year by setting the association’s strategic direction for the next 12 months.

The full board (introduced in the June/July issue) will be recognized in at the New Ideas Annual Conference in Dallas this September.

In lieu of a long-range strategic plan, the TSAE board annually sets strategic initiatives for the upcoming 12 months.

2018-2019 Strategic Initiatives

The board approved the following three Strategic Initiatives to continue moving the association forward:

  • Improve TSAE’s Membership Structure
Analyze and update TSAE’s membership structure to increase both membership and revenue, create transparency and equity in structure, and improve the overall member experience.
  • Conduct Programs Review
Use the program review toolkit created as part of a 2017-2018 initiative to evaluate program efficiency, member engagement and ROI in order to make recommendations on maintaining, redirecting or sun-setting current programming.
  • Identify New Program to Offer Business Exchange Opportunities
Utilize data from the Program Review to access needs and gaps to develop a business exchange/marketplace opportunity that expands our attendee reach, meets member ROI and generates new revenue.

Strategic Initiatives are led by Board members appointed by the board and will include a task force of Board members, members at large and a
staff liaison.
